Vinny O'Connor shares if Everton will make more signings live from Finch Farm

Vinny O’Connor has shared that it will be difficult for Everton to make any further transfers this transfer window.

Everton have been fairly busy this summer with players such as Jake O’Brien, Iliman Ndiaye and Jesper Lindstrom arriving, with Amadou Onana leaving.

Speaking live from Finch Farm on Sky Sports, O’Connor admitted that new additions are now looking unlikely based on financial constraints already on the club.

“It’s going to be difficult,” he said.

“I think they spoke about that as well after that game against Coventry because of the financial constraints on the football club at the moment.

“They have brought in £50 million from Amadou Onana but they have spent as well in the transfer window so far this summer, so I think signings are looking unlikely.”

Everton may need to sell before anyone else is brought in

Amongst all the Premier League teams that have made additions to their squad, it’s Everton who have found themselves one of the most changed.

Indeed, Jack Harrison has returned to the club on another season-long loan but aside from that, all those that have arrived are fresh faces.

And, to make things even sweeter, it feels as if all but newly arrived Jake O’Brien are near-guaranteed to start the Toffees’ first game of the season.

Iliman Ndiaye will no doubt slot in whilst Abdoulaye Doucoure could drop back and form a midfield two with Idrissa Gana Gueye.

And, whilst these additions are all well and good, improvements could still be made across the board.

Sean Dyche’s side are in need of another striker as the below-par performances from last season from both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto can’t be allowed to carry on for another term.

Should the club bring in any further additions, sales will likely have to be made so that they don’t end up being deducted points once again.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are in the ‘front row’ for the transfer of a Serie A striker.
