'We should win' - Tottenham Expert slams 'Awful' West Ham as fresh prediction emerges

John Wenham has slammed West Ham’s “awful” start to the season ahead of their upcoming visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast has been discussing the upcoming Premier League fixtures with Manchester United and the Hammers.

Ange Postecoglou’s side travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Sunday (29 September). Following that, they travel to Brighton (6 October) before welcoming Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (19 October).

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – is in a confident mood ahead of the fixtures, despite some of Spurs’ recent struggles.

“We can win at Old Trafford,” Wenham said.

“If James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur and the defence are all on top of their game, we have every chance. However, we will need to remain disciplined throughout and take advantage of any United mistakes.

“They’re on the same number of points as us. However, they have played easier games in my opinion.

“If you asked me now, I would take a draw to continue building some momentum ahead of Brighton. We then have West Ham at home. That is a game we should win because they have made an awful start to the season.”

Tottenham set to take on Manchester United, Brighton and West Ham

On paper, United, Brighton and West Ham is a very difficult run of Premier League games, especially considering the first two matches are away from home.

The clash with the Hammers is arguably the easiest of those three games. However, there is a very fierce rival between the two London-based clubs.

As a result, no matter how West Ham are playing, form always goes out the window for that particular fixture.

Therefore, Postecoglou’s side will need to be at their best when the Hammers come to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

If not, Wenham’s prediction could come back to haunt him.

In other Tottenham news, Daniel Levy could dilute funds available in North London as a multi-club model is mooted.
