Wenham blasts 'Greedy' Daniel Levy after official Tottenham matchday announcement

John Wenham has accused Daniel Levy of being “greedy” after an official Tottenham announcement.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose doesn’t understand why supporters are continually asked to pay increased prices.

It comes after the club confirmed via their official website (20 June) that matchday ticket prices were increasing.

Category A ticket prices will increase by £6 while Category B & C tickets will become £1 more expensive.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels the price changes are unnecessary.

“The club continue to raise prices and people will rightly voice their issues with that,” Wenham said.

“It is greedy and there’s no excuse for it.

“There’s plenty of money coming in from other sources, including all the events which are held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“Therefore, it is a shame that it seems to be the fans being directly hit in the pocket when they’re the ones that make the matchday experience.”

Supporting Tottenham continues to become more expensive.

After the club had confirmed earlier this year (6 March) that season ticket prices were going up, they have now doubled down on that decision.

Levy continues to charge supporters more money without much justification as to why he is doing so.

If the club were winning trophies and investing big money into players, then supporters would likely have fewer complaints.

But they are not, and as a result, fans deserve to know why they’re being asked to pay more money.
