Wenham shares 'One to Watch' as Fulham could look to sign Tottenham player

John Wenham believes Fulham could make a move for Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose feels that the 28-year-old could be a target for Marco Silva’s side as a result of Bayern Munich’s interest in Joao Palhina.

Fabrizio Romano reported via X (12 June) that Bayern are set to send an improved bid to Fulham for Palhina, with the player keen on the switch.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – claims the Cottagers could look toward North London for a replacement.

“Fulham wanted to sign Hojbjerg last summer when Palhina looked as if he was going to join Bayern Munich,” he said.

“When that deal fell through, suddenly they weren’t in for Hojbjerg anymore.

“It looks now as though Palhina will join Bayern, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Fulham’s interest in Hojbjerg resurfaced.

“For him, it would be a good move as it would allow him to stay in London, so that is one to watch.”

If anything, this would be good news for Tottenham.

The club are unlikely to stand in the way of Hojbjerg if he does choose to leave, and Fulham would be a good destination for the midfielder.

As a Premier League side, the Cottagers are more likely to pay big money than teams in Europe.

This could therefore be a transfer which suits all parties involved.
