'What?' – Jamie O'Hara reacts after what Jason Cundy said about Everton live on air

Everton being unbeaten in the Premier League for the past five weeks has left Jason Cundy shocked.

Speaking on talkSPORT (19 October, 5:42pm), Jamie O’Hara wasn’t too impressed when Cundy stated that following their 2-0 win over Ipswich at Portman Road, the Toffees are now four games unbeaten.

Sean Dyche’s side lost their first four matches of the new campaign, conceding 13 goals, but since 14 September, the Blues have won and drawn two each of their games since.

Cundy said: “They’ve not lost in the league since 14 September.”

O’Hara replied: “Who? What?

“It’s not the best stat in the world, is it?”

Cundy then finished it off: “Mate, when was the last time an Everton fan could say ‘we’ve not lost a league game’ for over a month?”

Everton ready to rise up the Premier League table

Toffees fans across the globe will be hoping that a five-week unbeaten streak is just the start of things in their final season at Goodison Park, as such a run was needed in the aftermath of an awful start.

It may concern Dyche that their two wins so far have both come against winless sides below the Blues in the table, but that number of teams will increase the longer this run continues.

The 53-year-old appeared to be on the brink of the sack in the wake of back-to-back 3-2 losses against Bournemouth and Aston Villa, but in the weeks since, Dyche has steadied the ship and then some.

A climb from the foot of the table to sixteenth in a matter of weeks can still be reversed equally as quick at this early stage of the season, but fans will be confident that their trajectory is an upward one.

With 30 league games remaining, plenty can still happen at both ends of the table, but if Everton can keep up this run of form, they may only have to worry about the upper half of it.
