Reims midfielder Amir Richardson would need some time adapting to life in England if he joins Everton, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert has advised the Morocco international to bring family and friends along to help him get used to the changed conditions.
This comes after L’Equipe reported on 3 July that the Toffees will have to shell out £8.4million to sign the 22-year-old this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Richardson:
“He’ll be moving to England from France so it will take time to adapt to the new conditions and style of football.
“My advice is to understand the difference in physical and mental demands between the leagues and have a plan to address.
“Three things I’d recommend are giving himself time to adjust to his surroundings, if possible bringing family or friends to help with his adjustment period, and finally, following the detailed guidelines of the fitness and physio teams.“
Everton could consider Amir Richardson to replace Amadou Onana
The Toffees should sign Richardson to strengthen their midfield and provide a different dynamic to their squad.
At 22 years old, he has already shown his potential with impressive performances for Reims and the Moroccan national team.
His height makes him a commanding presence in midfield, capable of winning aerial duels and providing defensive cover and he could potentially replace the Aston Villa-bound Amadou Onana.
In other Everton news, the transfer of a Toffees-linked defender is now inevitable with his club granting him permission for a medical.
