£75m Branthwaite exit update emerges for 2025, 'serious possibility' he quits Everton - report

Real Madrid are in the hunt to sign Jarrad Branthwaite with an exit from Everton next year now a “serious possibility”, according to GiveMeSport.

The news outlet reported on 10 September that the Blues won’t change their £75million valuation of the 22-year-old centre-back, who was wanted by Manchester United in the summer.

It is understood that Real Madrid are now sniffing around the former Carlisle defender after United’s failure to strike a deal.

An offer he can’t refuse

Sean Dyche may need to get used to life without Branthwaite if Real Madrid meet the asking price for the England international.

The defender has yet to make an appearance for the Toffees so far this season after picking up a groin injury during pre-season, giving the Goodison Park faithful a taste of football without their best player.

Ranking among the best in his position, Branthwaite recorded significantly more tackles and interceptions than the likes of Virgil van Dijk and William Saliba last season, with 116, and also made 163 clearances compared to van Dijk’s 144, according to fbref.

There’s no wonder big clubs have been turning their interest towards the young England star, who will no doubt be turning out in a world-famous football shirt soon enough.

Everton may be the perfect place for Branthwaite to develop, but if an offer comes in that makes his £35,000 in wages look like pocket change, then the 22-year-old will soon be on his way out of Goodison Park.
