Alejandro Garnacho 'likes' Ten Hag put-down in explosive Man United twist

Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho liked Fabrizio Romano’s Instagram post featuring quotes from Cristiano Ronaldo criticising Erik ten Hag.

The 20-year-old seemingly agrees with Ronaldo’s opinion that incumbent manager Ten Hag has no ‘knowledge’ of the club and should seek advice from the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson – the youngster has since un-liked the post.

Dutchman Ten Hag is now the bookies’ favourite to be the first Premier League manager sacked this season after their humiliating 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool.

Garnacho has only played 123 minutes across Man United’s opening three Premier League games, assisting new signing Joshua Zirkzee for the winner in their 1-0 victory over Fulham.

This isn’t the first time the youngster has been caught out on social media, he recently hit back at a fan for posting a video critical of his performances so far this season.

Capable of playing on either wing, Garnacho is yet to truly nail down a starting birth for Man United since breaking into the first-team back in 2022.

The Argentinian has only started 53 of his 90 appearances for the 20-times Premier League champions, scoring 16 times and providing 11 assists.

Transfer guru Romano’s post included quotes from Ronaldo’s appearances on ex-teammate Rio Ferdinand’s podcast.

Ronaldo, who was forced out by Ten Hag following a high-profile bust-up during his second stint at the club in 2022 said, “Man United coach can not say they can’t compete to win the Premier League and the Champions League every year.

“This is Man United! You have to be there, to mentally say… listen, maybe we don’t have that potential, but I cannot say that. We’re going to try. You have to try.

“If Ten Hag listens to Ruud van Nistelrooy, maybe he can help. He knows the club and the club should listen to the guys who were there, as this is really important.
