Amad Diallo raves about one Rangers player after 1-1 draw v Tottenham

Amad Diallo has voiced his take on the 1-1 draw between Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur at Ibrox with a one-word comment on social media.

Mohamed Diomande shared on his official Instagram page [13 December] a series of action shots from Thursday night’s Europa League clash, ahead of Sunday’s titanic Scottish League Cup final clash with Celtic.

Amad, now excelling at Manchester United having scored three goals in 13 appearances on loan at Ibrox in 2022, was quick to show his support for Diomande.

The midfielder captioned his post: “Solid effort from the team last night! A tough match against Tottenham, but we gave it our all and came away with a draw. Proud of the fight we showed out there. Now full focus on Sunday!”

Amad responded with: “Playa”, followed by two love emojis as he demonstrated his backing.

Rangers up to Tottenham task ahead of Old Firm final

Rangers gave an excellent account of themselves on Thursday and took advantage of some lacklustre Tottenham play to come close to a famous Ibrox win.

The two teams remain accompanied with one another in the Europa League’s league phase table, each with 11 points from six games as two more fixtures remain before the play-offs and knockout rounds.

Ange Postecoglou appears to be on thin ice at Spurs and certainly with the supporters, whose only cheer of the night came when Dejan Kulusevski salvaged a point following Hamza Igamane’s goal.

They also had former Celtic stopper Fraser Forster to thank late on with a strong save to deny Cyriel Dessers a winner which would have brought the house down in Govan.

Philippe Clement’s squad are hitting form at just the right time, with Sunday presenting the chance to kickstart the campaign for good and retain the sole trophy they currently boast over the arch-nemeses.

In other Rangers news, Neil McCann speaks out on his fears over the injury to John Souttar on Thursday.
