Andy Gray was surprised at being told by Richard Keys that “Ange Postecoglou out” was trending on X following Tottenham’s loss to Nottingham Forest.

Spurs were beaten 1-0 at the City Ground on Thursday (26 December) to make it back-to-back Premier League losses either side of Christmas Day.

Postecoglou remains under pressure in North London and his name was trending on social media for the wrong reasons after the match.

When told about the top trend by Keys live on beIN SPORTS 1 [26 December, 5:04pm], Gray replied: “You’re joking? Wow.”

Postecoglou appears to take two steps back for every step forward at Tottenham, with the results against Liverpool and Forest the latest such example.

Spurs are struggling for momentum and that does not look like changing anytime soon in what is a worry for supporters.

The former Celtic boss has made clear he will not change his ways, and that could work to his detriment if this goes on.

The Lilywhites now have successive home games against Wolves and Newcastle United to come in the Premier League, before the EFL Cup semi-final first leg with Liverpool.

And defeat to a lowly Wolves side in the first of those games really would up the pressure on Postecoglou.

Fingers crossed that is not the case and the Australian can turn things around in North London.
