Attacker makes decision as Everton make proposal for new transfer - reports

Jaden Philogene is more “keen” on a move to Ipswich Town this summer despite interest from Everton and West Ham, according to BBC Sport.

The media outlet reported on 4 July that the Tractor Boys and the former Aston Villa man are in “advanced talks” ahead of a deal being agreed.

The Toffees are still keeping a close eye on Philogene but the attacker believes a move to the Premier League new boys is the best move for his career at this time.

The Toffees have already sent the attacker a proposal [Fabrizio Romano, 4 July] to move to Merseyside this summer but his heart seems to be set on a move to Ipswich.

Although this may be the case, thanks to the exit of loanee Arnaut Danjuma, there’s an empty place for the youngster to fill in Sean Dyche’s set up.

His 2023/24 season was fairly memorable as he managed a total of 18 goal contributions in just 32 games for Liam Rosenior last term.

He was one of Hull’s key players and his impact was far greater than anyone expected of the youngster.

Especially since his prior Championship campaign with Cardiff during 2022/23 ended with just six goal involvements in 39 outings.

In addition, a fee of £15million [talkSPORT, 28 June] is all that it would reportedly cost a club to pry him away from Hull which more or less makes the move a no-brainer for any interested side.
