Sky Sports reporter Ben Ransom has revealed that Jarrad Branthwaite still isn’t involved in England training after picking up an injury in the Everton clash against West Ham United.
The 22-year-old has suffered with a groin injury this campaign, making just four Premier League appearances, but has still been called up to the Three Lions squad.
Now it appears that the centre-back is dealing with a new injury complaint, with Ransom confirming the news on Sky Sports News from St George’s Park [13 November, 10:18am].
He said: “The big update follows on from yesterday – Jarrad Branthwaite is still not fit enough to take part in group training.
“He’s instead training individually. A decision will be made tomorrow whether he is fit enough [to be in the squad against Greece] after picking up a slight injury for Everton against West Ham.”

The decision to call up the defender, after what has been a very frustrating start to the campaign, was quite bizarre and potentially frustrating for Sean Dyche.
The Toffees’ boss is likely to be raging now after the news that his star centre-back has missed out on first-team training in consecutive days.
Branthwaite spent Tuesday (12 November) training indoors which does point towards a certain level of fitness which is a small silver lining.
This update from the Three Lions camp could also point towards this issue being aggravated unless precautions are now being taken.
Everton won’t care if the young ace doesn’t feature in training for his country but will hope that he can return to Goodison fit and firing.
With Brentford set to travel to Merseyside after the international break, it will certainly be a boost to have the Englishman in the starting lineup.
It will be interesting to see how this situation develops and whether he returns to Finch Farm or stays at St George’s Park.
