'Disgraceful' - Four Lads left fuming at behind-the-scenes development at Rangers

Rangers needing four top positions to fill behind the scenes is a disgraceful situation to be in, believes Stevie Clifford.

The Four Lads Had a Dream host admits that there is no leadership at the club and things are not being run by people who are rising up to the occasion.

Currently, the club are without a permanent chairman, CEO, academy director and head of football operations as well with Creag Robertson parting ways.

Clifford said at 7:18 on 11 October: “It becomes a problem because there’s no leadership. We’re literally rudderless being run by people put in place by board members who don’t don’t want to step up themselves.

“I like John Gilligan, I like George Letham, because they’re proper Rangers men. They’re doing it out of a sense of duty. They’re not doing it because they’re there as an appointment. They’re there because nobody else would do it.

“That brings me great issues because, how we’ve allowed this to happen or how this board have allowed this to happen is quite frankly disgraceful.”

Rangers risk widening the gap with rivals Celtic

Key leadership positions remaining unfilled encapsulate a significant governance and operational crisis.

Strategic vision and leadership are critical for a football club, especially one with such a storied history and high expectations.

The absence of a permanent chairman, CEO and other vital roles suggests not just a vacuum in decision-making but also a potential for mismanagement or misdirection in club strategy, player recruitment, youth development and overall football operations.

If Gers fail to appoint competent leadership by year’s end, the gap with Celtic is likely to widen due to the Hoops’ ability to maintain consistency and build on their current successes, both on and off the pitch.

On the other hand, their cross-town rivals seem to struggle with getting things right behind the scenes and often hang the managers and players out to dry.

Things cannot continue like this and every person that supports the club must be sick of this constantly happening.

In other Rangers news, an update has emerged on the club signing a new winger in the January transfer window.
