'El Stinkico, Rotten' - Jason Cundy cannot believe what he saw in Everton draw v West Ham

Jason Cundy branded the draw between Everton and West Ham as “El-Stinkico” as he was left disappointed on Saturday.

The London Stadium hosted the 0-0 draw in the Premier League on 9 November, where both sides struggled to break the deadlock.

Sean Dyche and Julen Lopetegui are both under pressure after their poor starts to the season, and speaking on talkSPORT [9 November, 17:20], Cundy wasn’t too pleased with what he saw on the pitch.

“El-Stinkico. It was terrible. It was so bad. I said before the game this stinks of a draw,” he said.

“It was rotten. When you’re down at the bottom, as both sides are, you don’t want to get beat. I don’t know.”

Sean Dyche is not the right manager for Everton

Everton appointed Dyche at a time when the team were fighting relegation in the 2022/23 season, and he managed to deliver.

The English manager has built a pedigree over the years of keeping struggling sides in the top flight, which he showed during his time at Burnley.

Dyche’s appointment was an astute one when the Blues needed to avoid the drop, but he has failed to take the team forward since then.

The Toffees have continued to be in and around the relegation zone over the last few years, and while the 53-year-old isn’t to blame for all the problems at the club, the performances on the pitch are the responsibility of the manager and the players.
