Everton could be closing in on a deal to sign AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham, according to Sebastien Vidal.
The Weekend Sports magazine editor relayed the news that Kevin Thelwell was spotted in tense talks after the 1-1 draw against the Italians on Saturday 10 August [Gazzetta dello Sport].
It is said that Roma will demand £25.7million for the England international, but the Toffees could finally be closing in on another striker.
Everton close to Tammy Abraham transfer?
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has become a massive talking point at Goodison Park, especially as he enters the final year of his contract.
Sean Dyche has admitted that every player has their price, but the striker has found some goalscoring form ahead of the new Premier League season.
With injury worries still a big concern, Beto and Neal Maupay have not proven to be good enough just yet to take his spot consistently.
This is where Abraham could come in.
There are obvious injury concerns over the Roma striker too, and he has admitted that he wants to stay and fight for his place under Daniele De Rossi.
With only one week to go until the new season, it appears as though Dyche is happy with what he has with the potential new addition in the final third to finish things off.
This is definitely one move to keep an eye on, with Thelwell clearly still busy at Goodison Park.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are at risk of being hit with another Premier League points deduction after new allegations were made.
