Everton will face Premier League competition to sign Vitor Roque from Barcelona, according to Sport.
The Spanish newspaper reported on page five of its print edition on 16 August that Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest are interested in the one-cap Brazil international.
The Toffees are “putting in the most effort” to sign the 19-year-old from the La Liga giants but no agreement has been reached yet.
Everton want Vitor Roque from Barcelona
The Toffees could be in need of fresh options in their forward line with plenty of uncertainty surrounding their current options.
By the end of the transfer window, both Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin may have left Goodison Park leaving Sean Dyche short up top.
On the flip side, interest in the striker duo may not amount to anything, leaving them both fighting for a place at Goodison.
If they are to go, Roque would certainly represent a risk given his lack of experience in European football given he is just 19.
The Barcelona starlet has goalscoring pedigree with his former club Athletico Paranaense where he registered 28 goals in two seasons [FotMob].
At the Camp Nou, Roque has scored twice in La Liga despite being limited to just 319 minutes.
The forward seems to have plenty of positive aspects to his game but if he was to come in as the main striker at Everton, alarm bells would certainly be ringing with supporters.
