Everton may consider a loan exit for Youssef Chermiti if more forward players are signed this summer, according to The Athletic.

The online publication reported on Friday (July 12) that with more transfers possible at Goodison Park, Chermiti might find himself surplus to requirements for now.

Sean Dyche’s side have been linked with several attacking players this summer, including Hull City’s Jaden Philogene [Joe Thomas, 11 July].

Despite his contributions last season, in which he made 18 Premier League appearances, Everton’s pursuit of new forwards could push Chermiti out temporarily.

A loan deal would provide him with valuable playing time while the Toffees strengthen in the short term.

Plenty of transfer business at Everton this summer

Everton have been really active in this transfer window, bringing in some exciting new players – plus a returning face in Jack Harrison.

The Toffees have already sealed the deal for Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille, a player also known for his attacking ability and international experience with Senegal.

Sean Dyche is also eyeing Philogene from Hull, a winger who impressed in the Championship last season.

On top of that, Everton’s academy has snapped up Ciaran Loney, a young striker hailed for his potential after making waves at Partick Thistle.

These moves show Everton’s ambition to strengthen their squad across different areas, as they prepare for another tough season ahead in the Premier League.

Unfortunately for Chermiti, that could see his playing time diminish and therefore a short-term exit may make sense.

In other Everton news, the club are to make a transfer decision as a financial concern is mooted at Goodison Park.
