Everton have sent a “delegation” to have a look at West Brom forward Tom Fellows as they weigh up a potential transfer, according to Alan Nixon.
The journalist reported via his Patreon on 27 October that the Toffees are waiting for a “cash injection” to start making moves.
Nixon also added that the Toffees are currently “in the market” for some fresh legs to bolster their attack and the 21-year-old is on their radar.
Tom Fellows would be a statement of intent from Everton
One area that Everton have lacked much quality in over the last few seasons is their front line.
While many players have been brought in to try and help bolster their ranks such as Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Harrison, it still feels like more could come from either wing.
Fellows has been one of the brightest sparks in the Championship this season and has chipped in with five assists in 11 Championship games.
Carlos Corberan has mostly used the Englishman on the right but he has been used on the left once.
This versatility alongside his keen eye for a pass could prove vital to Everton avoiding another Premier League relegation battle this term.
Dwight McNeil has been one of Sean Dyche’s best players so far and adding Fellows to that mix would only make things better.
If Dan Friedkin’s takeover is completed before January, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Merseyside outfit welcoming Fellows through the Goodison Park doors and slotting him straight into the first team.
The West Brom gem would be a huge improvement on Harrison and would show they mean business this season.
In other Everton news, Dean Saunders has shared his verdict on the Toffees’ performance against Fulham.
