Report: £8.5m player Gary O'Neil called incredible could now miss Fulham vs Wolves on Saturday
????
Wolves could move out of the relegation zone with victory over Fulham on Saturday.
Gary O’Neil takes his side to Craven Cottage as Premier League football gets back underway, having steered Wolves to a 2-0 win over Southampton last time out.

It will take some effort to beat Fulham in west London, with the Cottagers currently sat seventh – just one point off third – after an excellent start to the season.
It could now become even harder for Wolves to pick up a positive result – amid doubts over Santiago Bueno.
Santiago Bueno a doubt for Fulham vs Wolves
A story from the Telegraph now states that the Wolves No.4 returned from international duty with Uruguay carrying a minor injury – which will need to be assessed ahead of Saturday.
Bueno – an £8.5m signing from Girona in August 2023 – has been a key man for Wolves so far this season, making five Premier League starts, and amid a time where O’Neil has few central defenders to call upon, his absence would not be ideal by any means.
TBR Football even understand Fosun feel they let O’Neil down by failing to sign a new central defender last summer – despite allowing Max Kilman to leave for West Ham in a £40m deal.
Bueno – who O’Neil once called “incredible” – will have a late fitness test before Wolves decide whether to risk him or not at Craven Cottage.
Wolves set to make amends in the market for Gary O’Neil
Interestingly, the Telegraph add that Wolves will push to sign a new central defender in January, after leaving O’Neil short in that department.
It is said that funds will be made available to the 41-year-old after Wolves conceded 27 goals in 11 Premier League games so far this season, more than any other side, while Yerson Mosquera is also expected to miss the remainder of the campaign.
The Telegraph specifically mention that Wolves want to have a new centre-back signed early into 2025, so those in the boardroom at Molineux may have even already started negotiations with targets.
