Everton may change their stance in the dispute between Manchester City and the Premier League after the impending takeover, according to The Times.
The newspaper reiterated via their website on 19 November that the Toffees are one of four clubs that joined City in voting against toughening Associated Party Transactions (APT) rules.
Aston Villa have since joined the mix and the champions need backing from one more club to prevent changes from being made, but cannot bank on Everton’s support, it seems.

Both sides confusingly claimed victory on 7 October, but a tribunal deemed that certain elements of the APT rulings were unlawful.

There will be a vote on ATP rules on Friday [22 November] and the league wants clubs to agree to some changes while keeping the “bulk” of the rules, but City have been trying to get it postponed.
City and Villa have called for the vote to be postponed, but it remains to be seen if Everton have done the same.
The Merseyside-based club are in the midst of a takeover, with Dan Friedkin looking to buy the club from Farhad Moshiri with few tests remaining.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche has received a major boost with this player returning to training; a plan is in place to manage his return.
