Bryan King has insisted that Tottenham will need to replace Geoff Scott after his exit from the club was officially confirmed.
Training Ground Guru shared on August 7 that the Head of Medicine and Sports Science has left the club after 20 years of service since joining from Fulham in 2004.
The ex-Spurs scout, King, admitted that Scott was clearly very important and his replacement will need to be as highly qualified to take on the role.
“I had met him, but I didn’t know him all that well,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“Football now is so demanding, everything else seems to take second place. Whether 20 years at Tottenham is enough for him, who knows?
“The question is who is coming in? He was obviously very important and held quite a strong position. He will need to be replaced and replaced with somebody as highly qualified as he is.
“All the players will be used to him, they will all know each other well. Therefore, it will be interesting to see where he ends up or what he is going to do in the future.”
Tottenham make Geoff Scott announcement
It is not just the manager and the players that make a club tick, and Daniel Levy will know that losing Scott is likely a big blow after such long service.
As Tottenham splashes record money on Dominic Solanke [Duncan Castles], it looks as though they may need to spend behind-the-scenes too after these developments.
This is certainly something to watch as the Premier League season creeps up.
