'Extremely Agitated' - Four Lads tell Rangers chief to address fans amid Hampden speculation

Four Lads Had A Dream have told Rangers chief John Bennett to “address the support” following new updates around the redevelopment of Ibrox.

Reports have suggested that Philippe Clement’s side could be playing their home fixtures at Hampden Park until October this season after delays to work on the Copland Road stand this summer [Daily Record, 7 July].

The Light Blues are yet to confirm whether this is officially the case, but Four Lads host Stevie Clifford has called for an official statement from those in charge at Ibrox as fans become “extremely agitated”.

Writing on X on Monday (8 July) they said: “Bottom line is Rangers and John Bennett have to address the support

“Becoming extremely agitated at this ongoing issue and it’s difficult to articulate that at times.”

What is happening to Rangers and Ibrox this summer?

As Clifford suggested, there simply has to be some official communication from the club itself in the coming days as this situation is not acceptable so close to the start of the Premiership campaign.

While Rangers themselves will have a lot to deal with before they can confirm what their plans are for the start of the campaign, they have left their supporters in the dark for far too long while new stories have emerged from different outlets.

If this was happening across Glasgow, Gers fans would be pointing and laughing at Celtic’s management for making such a mess of this situation during the offseason and those in charge at Ibrox need to be held to the same account.

In theory, the delays to the redevelopment of Ibrox could have huge repercussions for Clement’s side on the field as they may not be able to call on their typical home atmosphere for crucial Champions League qualifiers.

Fans like Four Lads are completely within their rights to be agitated by this entire situation.
