'Fearless' Everton-linked player now looking for house on Merseyside - report

Everton target Iliman Ndiaye is now looking for a house in Liverpool ahead of a possible move from Marseille, according to a Canal Plus reporter ‘Adammser’.

Sharing an update via his personal X account [22 June] – in French – the journalist claimed Ndiaye has been house-hunting in the city “for a few days now”.

Marseille are said to have refused a first offer for from the Toffees for Ndiaye [Massilia Zone, 20 June], but a second bid may soon be lodged.

Iliman Ndiaye a good transfer option for Everton

Ndiaye has experience of playing in English football with Sheffield United, with whom his performances earned him plenty of praise.

Indeed, in an interview with the Daily Mail in November 2022, United coach Jack Lester said of Ndiaye: “He’s a lovely lad, always smiling. Very popular. Fearless, a tough kid. Strong on the ball and not nice to play against.”

Those qualities make him sound like the ideal type of player for Sean Dyche, who will be desperate to add another attacker this summer, even if exit-linked Dominic Calvert-Lewin stays.

Ndiaye scored 14 goals in the English championship the season before last before being sold to Marseille and, while it is true he is not proven in the Premier League, he does have plenty of experience in top-level football.

The hope is that Everton can now get a deal over the line with Marseille, with the player himself clearly keen on a return to England if this latest update is anything to go by.
