Finance Expert: Full Tottenham takeover could be lined up already

Dan Plumley has insisted that MSP Sports Capital could push for a full takeover at Tottenham eventually after starting initial investment talks.

Paul O’Keefe recently reported that the American investment firm had started talks with Daniel Levy over a 40 per cent stake at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The football finance expert admitted that a full takeover could be worth £3billion, so ramping up investment over time could be a smart play by any interested party.

“That’s always where your mind goes with that kind of stuff,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.

“The other side of the coin is, who has £3billion sitting there to go and execute a full takeover?

“Sometimes these investments, significant stakes and then ramping that up to look for a majority in time is always a play that people will make.

“I’m sure if it is to be a deal that is done like that, any investor will have that in mind.

“Whether that comes off or not is a different question, but certainly, it’s where your mind goes when you look at some of the bigger deals in the biggest clubs in the world.”

Tottenham takeover lined up

This is certainly one to watch in the coming months, with Levy known to have been seeking fresh investment for quite some time now.

Nothing has quite come off yet, so with MSP said to be in talks, things could progress very quickly if they are on the same page as the Spurs’ owner.
