'He'll go' - Pundit gushes over Rangers-linked player as Koppen now works in different markets

Lucky Lekgwathi has been left gushing over Rangers target Relebohile Mofokeng after watching him in action for Orlando Pirates.

Speaking to Far Post, as quoted by Football Scotland on 8 July, the former South Africa defender has praised Mofokeng, a 19-year-old-midfielder, for his humility as well as his ability to carry instructions given by the manager.

Gers are interested in him as Nils Koppen is now working in different markets to sign the best players for the club.

Lekgwathi said: “Everyone likes him; you can see he’s a humble boy, and he’s always smiling.

“He’s that kind of a player when you tell him, ‘run’ he’ll run. Even if you tell him an instruction, he’ll take it.

“You can see Rele; he’s humble, and that tells you of the hands he’s coming from.

“I just wish that he continues being the same, be humble and work hard.

“He mustn’t change his attitude. Some players who were not disciplined, played a few seasons, why? They were not humble. They thought I’ve arrived, so the boy must continue that way; he’ll go far.”

Rangers need to prioritise bringing in senior players through the door

Gers should prioritise signing senior players to address their immediate needs and challenges.

While Mofokeng shows great potential, his youth and inexperience may not be what the club needs most urgently.

Senior players bring a wealth of experience, leadership and adaptability to the team, which can be crucial in high-pressure situations and when facing tough opponents.

Moreover, the Ibrox outfit already have a number of young talents in their squad and adding another young player like Mofokeng might not be the most beneficial move at this moment.

The club needs players who can make an immediate impact and help them compete at the highest level.

Philippe Clement will be eyeing the title and he cannot do it if no new signings arrive who can strengthen the playing eleven.

In other Rangers news, a £2.5m bid is being readied with Gers now in advanced talks to secure yet another transfer.
