'It infuriates me' - King unleashes on Farhad Moshiri after new £400m Everton takeover update

Bryan King claims Farhad Moshiri will demand more than £400million to sell Everton.

The ex-Goodison scout is furious by the way the club has been run in recent years under Moshiri.

According to Kieran Maguire, who was speaking on The Price of Football (23 July), somebody in London had made an offer of around £400million for the Toffees.

But King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has suggested that this will not be enough for a deal.

“Moshiri will want more than £400million,” King said.

“He has certainly put more than that into the club. Everton have spent a ridiculous amount on players since he has been there.

“It is no surprise that they have been in constant financial trouble. Whoever advised Moshiri to sign those players has a lot to answer for to Everton and supporters of the football club.

“It infuriates me to see what has happened at Goodison Park. The club is not being run like it used to be. Hopefully for the supporters things can be sorted out soon because I feel very sorry for them.

“This has always been known as the people’s club, but right now it seems to be the financier’s club.”

Farhad Moshiri to continue Everton takeover talks at Goodison Park

Finding a buyer at Goodison Park appears to be mission impossible.

Consecutive deals have now collapsed and the longer this saga drags on the more it is costing Moshiri.

He will no doubt be desperate to offload his shares in the club. However, an offer of £400million is not likely to be enough.

Farhad Moshiri will be desperate to sell Everton

Considering the amount of debt that the club has amassed the Toffees chairman will be looking for substantially more.

However, whether or not he gets substantially more at this point remains to be seen, and Moshiri could soon be forced to cut his losses.

In other Everton news, Sean Dyche’s stance on a Goodison Park exit has been mooted.
