Ian Croll makes 'Massive' Everton and Sean Dyche prediction

Ian Croll believes the next two fixtures will be massive for Everton and the future of Sean Dyche after the defeat to Southampton.

The Toffees lost 1-0 to the Saints away from home in the Premier League on 2 November, and West Ham and Brentford are up next either side of the international break.

After the defeat at St Mary’s, the Blues are just four points above the relegation zone, and sharing his thoughts on X, Croll believes the only way the team can suppress the noise around the club is by winning matches.

“A largely frustrating day assessing both sides of the argument for and against Sean Dyche as Everton manager,” the Royal Blue Podcast host wrote.

“What’s clear is after Saturday’s defeat, frustration has now turned to anger in some parts. The only way to respond is by winning football matches. Next two are massive.”

Sean Dyche at risk of Everton sack

Dyche has done brilliantly in avoiding the drop at Everton, and the Englishman’s experience at Burnley has undoubtedly aided him.

While the 53-year-old should be credited for helping the team survive the drop, the Goodison Park faithful want to see the team develop and progress.

The Toffees shouldn’t be fighting relegation season after season, and Dyche has shown no signs of being able to take the team back to the right end of the Premier League.

It has already been suggested that some players may have checked out under the manager, and that is the last thing anybody needs right now.

Everton are about to step into a new era with their switch to Bradley-Moore Dock for the start of the next season, and the former Burnley head coach doesn’t seem like the right fit to take the club forward.

Potential new owners of the Friedkin Group could also be coming in soon, and it remains to be seen whether they’ll want a change in the dugout, as Dyche hasn’t given them much reason to stick by him.

In other Everton news, the Toffees want to sign a Brazilian striker in January and he’s keen on moving to the Premier League.
