Ibrox View: Celtic footage shows just how far Rangers are behind them in Old Firm battle

Adam Idah scored a wonderful goal against St Johnstone to show the difference in quality between Celtic and Rangers.

The Gers’ Old Firm rivals extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership on Saturday 28 September with a 6-0 win away to the Saints.

Ahead of Philippe Clement’s side facing Hibernian on Sunday (29 September), the Hoops are eight points clear of the Light Blues.

This gap is sizable and this was made clear as Idah scored a top-class goal to secure a 6-0 win at McDiarmid Park.

Brenden Rogers’ side had already scored five before they turned on the style to grab a sixth in superb fashion.

The move started with Alex Valle as he turned in the midfield and laid the ball off Luke McCowan before making a run in behind the defence.

The former Dundee man’s looped ball back to the Spaniard looked perfect for him to strike at goal.

It came as a surprise to see the Barcelona loanee flick the ball back to Idah who lifted the ball over Ross Sinclair to cap off an excellent move.

It has to be said that things aren’t so much doom and gloom at Ibrox right now after a superb win in the Europa League against Malmo.

The Gers have won each of their games since losing 3-0 in the Old Firm and have looked good while doing so.

As much as there is positivity building, this Celtic goal just expressed the quality they possess with Clement’s men being left in their dust right now.
