'If the offer...' - Rangers-linked player issues update on future, open to hold talks with club

Rangers target Albion Rrahmani has delivered a verdict on his future with Neil Lennon aiming to keep him at the club, according to the Daily Record.

The Kosovo international revealed that he is open to having talks with Rapid Bucharest over his future if an offer comes in and it benefits the club.

However, the 23-year-old admits that he wants to eventually play for a team in the top-five European leagues.

The Daily Record quoted him as saying on 10 July: “The new players are very good and we have a strong team now. Mr. Lennon is a very good coach, with a very good game philosophy, which will help us to be better and better.

“I hope to reach the top five leagues in Europe. If a team offers something interesting for the club, I will talk to Mr (Dan). Sucu (Rapid Bucharest owner), and if the offer is also in the interest of the club, I will make a choice. For now I am the Rapid player and I will give 100 per cent for the team.”

Rangers must first agree personal terms with Albion Rrahmani

Gers must prioritise agreeing personal terms with Rrahmani before as his recent comments indicate that he is open to moving if the right offer comes in, suggesting that he is not entirely opposed to a transfer.

His openness to discussing offers that benefit Rapid Bucharest implies that he is willing to consider proposals that meet the club’s financial expectations.

Given these factors, the Ibrox outfit need to act swiftly to secure the 23-year-old’s commitment before other clubs potentially make more lucrative offers.

By agreeing on personal terms, they can secure the Kosovan’s interest and prevent rival teams from hijacking the deal.

Moreover, this approach would demonstrate the club’s seriousness about acquiring Rrahmani and if he does give the green signal it would mean he’s ready to leave.

Then it would be on Gers to speak with the club and reach a compromise for a transfer fee.

In other Rangers news, a £2.5m bid is being readied with Gers now in advanced talks to secure yet another transfer.
