'I'm sure...' - Alan Myers shares concern from Everton after 3-2 loss v Bournemouth

Alan Myers believes that the Everton board will be concerned about their start to the new Premier League season under Sean Dyche.

Responding to a fan via X (31 August) Myers stated that he’s sure that the board won’t be happy after a third consecutive league defeat.

It comes after the Toffees somehow managed to lose 3-2 against Bournemouth on 31 August, despite being two goals to the good with 10 minutes to go.

After being questioned if anyone is in control of the club at the very top to change things around, Myers wrote: “They will be concerned, I’m sure of that.”

Everton to sack Sean Dyche?

Whilst the most recent loss against Bournemouth is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of how poorly the season has played out, the blame can’t be solely put onto Dyche or the players.

Despite making multiple new additions to his squad throughout the summer transfer window, only Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye started the game against Bournemouth.

So, it won’t come as a surprise to many that despite the loss, the two newbies within the squad were among the standout performers.

Indeed, the likes of Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin also played to a high standard but in terms of overall play, Iroegbunam and Ndiaye were by far the standouts.

One of Everton’s most intriguing transfers of the window was the arrival of Jesper Lindstrom. The former Napoli man even had a strong pre-season so it’s remained a bit of mystery as to why the winger hasn’t been afforded the chance to start a Premier League game just yet.

Granted, there’s still plenty of time left in the season for things to change but the team’s form needs to be turned around sooner rather than later.

In other Everton news, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has shared what he said to Sean Dyche at full-time.
