Sean Dyche will be shown respect by the Friedkin Group once they complete the Everton and an immediate sack is not on the cards, according to Mark Douglas.
The i journalist claimed on 28 September that insiders have said that despite the Americans’ streak of being ruthless as seen with Daniele De Rossi’s sack at Roma, they’re not expected to make an immediate decision on Dyche.
The Toffees boss has come in the firing line given the club’s poor start to the season with them sitting in 19th place.
Douglas wrote: “Expect Dyche to be shown ‘respect’ by the incoming owners, insiders say. Provided results have improved – which the manager expects them to with the fixtures that follow – an immediate change is unlikely, even if the sacking of Daniele De Rossi at Roma illustrates how ruthless they can be.”
Sean Dyche deserves to be given time under the new ownership at Everton
Given his recent track record, Dyche has proven he deserves the chance to show what he can due under a new structure.
Over the last two seasons, the Englishman has demonstrated an ability to stabilise and improve the club’s standing, notably steering the team away from relegation despite significant odds.
His pragmatic approach, emphasising team cohesion and resilience, has been a cornerstone of his management style, which could align well with the Friedkins’ vision for a more structured and financially disciplined operation.
The Friedkin Group’s decision to initially respect Dyche’s tenure allows them to assess his performance within their new framework, giving him a chance to adapt to potentially different operational and philosophical directives.
Even the manager’s harshest critics would agree that he’d been dealt an unfair hand in the Farhad Moshiri era.
Hopefully, with the takeover drama seemingly in the rearview mirror, he can now focus on getting the team to punch above their weight.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has shared how much Farhad Moshiri is set to pocket from the takeover as a £750m reveal emerges.
