Jadon Sancho and Man United in new social media spat

Man United and Jadon Sancho have unfollowed each other on Instagram following the winger’s move to Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The 24-year-old winger’s move from Manchester to West London was confirmed on Saturday, the day after the official summer transfer window deadline.

Chelsea will reportedly pay most, but not all of the England international’s wages after the club agreed a deal with an obligation to buy for a fee of around £20-25million at the end of the season.

Sancho had a tumultuous time at Old Trafford since making the £73million move from German giants Borussia Dortmund and seemingly wants to put the past behind him.

The official Manchester United account unfollowed him and Sancho has since returned the favour – the only sign he ever played for the club is his short goodbye message to the fans.

Signed after a stellar spell at Dortmund, Sancho failed to live up to the hype, scoring just 12 goals and providing six assists in 83 appearances for the club.

Sancho spent the second half of last season back at the club he had so much success, showing glimpses of his former self.

The versatile winger was notably awarded the Player of the Match award in Dortmund’s 1-0 home victory over French giants PSG in the Champions League semi-final.

With eight first-team attacking options at his new club, Sancho will have to quickly return to his best if he’s going to get any game time at Chelsea.

It’s been a mixed start to the season for new boss Enzo Maresca and his side, a 6-2 away thumping at Wolves was followed by a frustrating 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Once the international break is over, they face Bournemouth at the Vitality stadium in the late kick-off on Saturday, September 14th.
