Dan Bardell believes boardroom issues at Rangers are reflecting on the pitch as sack rumours surround Philippe Clement.
The Belgian manager has come under pressure in recent weeks and this has only been made worse by a 1-0 defeat against Kilmarnock on Sunday 20 October.
As well as on-the-pitch problems surrounding this defeat, behind-the-scenes issues have been rife in recent months as John Gilligan takes his time in the search for a new chairman at Ibrox.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell has put the blame on the problems in the boardroom as Clement risks losing his job with the Gers.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Bardell said: “It’s a difficult time for Rangers at the moment. They’ve had some suffering behind the scenes, in the boardroom and in high positions.
“When the club isn’t aligned and things are wrong behind the scenes, you start to see problems and they start to show on the pitch, and I think that is what’s happening.
“It has been a difficult start and it feels like Celtic are already quite far away from them so I’m not surprised by the sack rumours.
“Things need to change quickly otherwise it is obvious that the manager will face the brunt of it and be out of a job.“

There has been no secret about the problems at Ibrox which began with the season starting at Hampden and has continued with a poor start to the campaign.
The loss at Rugby Park leaves the Gers third in the table behind Celtic and Aberdeen with Clement continuing to ask supporters for patience.
Fans’ patience is wearing thin with the Light Blues’ manager and the board as frustration grows with the uncertain situation.
This appears to be having a damaging effect in the stands and on the pitch, in a situation which the club can not afford to continue.
