King says Tottenham can make 'Very impressive' player even better after new transfer

Bryan King has insisted that Dominic Solanke will become an even better player after signing for Tottenham.

The ex-Spurs scout admitted that the former Bournemouth man was very impressive in the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Tottenham will be hoping for instant results from Solanke after paying a club-record fee to get his transfer over the line before the new season [Duncan Castles].

“He was one of the top scorers in the Premier League last season,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.

“That is despite playing in a relatively average team. To be able to clock up goals the way that he was doing last season is very impressive.

“What will hopefully make him an even better player and goal scorer is the service that he will get at Tottenham.

“This is what Spurs have been lacking, a straight centre-forward getting on the end of things. Tottenham need to make sure they get the ball in the box and let Solanke sort the goals out.”

Spurs may have finally found their Harry Kane replacement.

After last season, it was clear that forcing Son Heung-Min into that role would not work long-term and Richarlison simply cannot be relied upon as the main man for Ange Postecoglou.

Solanke has already proven that he can be exactly that at Bournemouth, and with better players around him, he could score for fun in North London.
