Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin has been named in Kris Boyd’s Scottish Premiership Team of the Week for The Scottish Sun.
The publication posted on their X account [28 October] showing Boyd’s full selection, which includes Raskin after the Gers’ 2-1 win over St Mirren, but also Celtic duo Luke McCowan and Alistair Johnston.
Raskin returned from injury in September and has since been a regular, growing into his potential with his recent performances.
Also included in former Ibrox striker Boyd’s XI are Aberdeen trio Dimitar Mitov, Shayden Morris and Gavin Molloy among others.
Rangers prepare to face Aberdeen in huge showdown
All eyes from a Light Blue persuasion are now firmly on Pittodrie, as Rangers look to bridge the gap against Aberdeen on Wednesday night [30 October].
The edged win over St Mirren was much needed for Philippe Clement as Aberdeen managed a similarly narrow victory at home to Dundee United [26 October].
The Dons and Celtic maintain their respective records of having drawn with each other and won the other eight in the league, six points above a Gers side who do not have a better chance than this midweek.
Lose in their trip north, and it is likely to spell curtains for the league season before November is even upon the side.
John Souttar and Tom Lawrence remain doubtful for the clash, as Clement keeps everything crossed two of his experienced charges can be available.
In other Rangers news, Steven Thompson’s prediction does not spell great news.
