Leeds & Everton Exclusive: Big Gnonto update tonight

Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto is wanted by multiple Premier League clubs as bids are lined up, sources have told Football Insider.

The Championship side are holding out for £30million to sell him, with Everton among the clubs interested in purchasing him this summer after coming close to securing the Italian in 2023.

However, buying clubs will bide their time hoping that his price will come down later in the window and then strike when Leeds are desperate to make a sale.

The Whites must pay back £190million in transfer fees to pay back on time to avoid a points deduction, which will place pressure on Elland Road chiefs at some point within this window.

Leeds will be keen to avoid any deductions due to the impact they could have on their promotion quest, as the club aims to go one step further this season after losing in the playoff final earlier this year.

The 20-year-old forward has caught the eye of Premier League teams due to his impressive performances so early in his career, especially after setting the Championship alight last season.

Gnonto featured 36 times for Leeds, scoring eight goals and creating two assists throughout the campaign, proving to be a pivotal part of Daniel Farke’s team.

The Italian also boasts Premier League experience, having played 24 times for the Whites in the top flight, registering two goals and four assists in the top flight.

While Leeds are holding out for a £30million fee for Gnonto, Marc Roca is one player they’re expected to lose much sooner.

Football Insider revealed that the midfielder is in advanced talks with Real Betis about a permanent deal following a successful loan spell with the La Liga club.
