Leeds United fans wowed as Junior Firpo stats revealed

Leeds United fans have been wowed by a new stat surrounding Junior Firpo’s performances under Daniel Farke so far this season.

The left-back has recorded the most touched in the attacking third of any Championship player so far this season with 168 – wowing the home support at Elland Road.

Firpo, 28, has always been more of an attack-minded defender, much to the frustration of fans at times, but his attacking intent has become a vital part of Farke’s system.

His performances in the Championship since last season have been eye-catching for the supporters who have heavily praised the way he has stepped up after previous inconsistent displays.

Upon Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League in 2023, most of their high-profile stars were quick to move on, leaving a bitter taste in the mouths of the fans.

Firpo, however, was one of few players who didn’t jump ship, and has made himself a fans’ favourite at Elland Road with his standout performances.

His loyalty to the club, alongside his performances under Farke which have been exemplified by the latest stat, have earned him plenty of support from the fans.

That, though, sums up why the crowd at Elland Road have grown so fond of the unorthodox left-back, with high praise for his performances continuing to grow.

After the new stat was shared on social media, fans flocked to the replies to express their admiration for their star man, labelling him “the best full-back in the league”.
