Lilywhite Rose: Tottenham minority sale 'Definitely' moving forward after recent development

John Wenham believes a minority sale at Tottenham is “definitely” moving forward after recent developments.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose thinks a portion of the club is up for grabs for whoever comes up with the right cash, with Amanda Staveley continuing to lurk in the background after an £830million development.

Jerry Jones was recently spotted in London, fueling speculation that he could be interested in a Tottenham takeover, although Alasdair Gold denied any such claims via his personal X account [4 December].

However, Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – still believes that something is happening in North London.

“I think there is definitely something rumbling on in terms of a minority sale,” Wenham said.

“Those Jones rumours seemed to come out of nowhere. Therefore, it definitely seems like something is happening and moving forward in that regard, whether it be Jones or Staveley and her consortium.

“I think a minority share is up for grabs for somebody, without question, so long as they’ve got the money for a deal.”

Daniel Levy and ENIC open to minority investment at Tottenham?

Daniel Levy and ENIC have often been criticised for the way they have run Tottenham. Therefore, supporters would no doubt welcome a full takeover in North London.

However, it seems as though for now fans will have to settle for a minority sale, at best.

Although, should somebody get their foot even slightly through the door, such as Staveley, they could eventually force that door all the way open, with a hostile takeover of the club having previously been mooted.

That could see Levy and ENIC slowly forced out, which would no doubt be met with delight among fans.
