Man United fans savage 'disrespectful' Ed Sheeran for what he did to Amorim

Man United fans have savaged musician Ed Sheeran for how he conducted himself after their 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town.

The 20-time champions shared the spoils with Ipswich at Portman Road after Omari Hutchinson equalised after Marcus Rashford had given his team the lead in the second minute.

Ruben Amorim gave his first-ever post-match interview to Sky Sports after the game, but as United fans eagerly awaited to hear from their new manager he was interrupted by Sheeran.

The singer-songwriter is a minority owner of Ipswich and he gate-crashed the interview to say hello to Jamie Redknapp, despite the Sky Sports panel being in the midst of speaking to Amorim.

It created an awkward moment as Redknapp asked Sheeran, “You gonna come and say hello in a minute?” while he ended up shuffling out of shot.

United supporters were deeply unimpressed by both Sheeran and Sky Sports’ “unprofessional” treatment of Amorim after his first game in charge of the club.

It's not an overreaction to say this was incredibly disrespectful by Ed Sheeran. Wait for the interview to finish. Don't care what your standing is in society or who you think you are, have respect & courtesy.

Just seen that clip of Ed Sheeran crashing the interview after the game, so unprofessional and disrespectful. You can always tell from Sky's coverage they're desperate to get a short clip they can stick online for engagement. They're no better than fan TV channels nowadays.
