Man United fans are calling for Erik ten Hag to lose his job after scathing criticism from Cristiano Ronaldo was shared on social media.

Ronaldo, 39, has hit out at the boss’ claims that Man United cannot compete for the Premier League title or Champions League as things stand.

As shared by Fabrizio Romano, the United legend ranted: “Man United manager… you cannot say that you’re not going to fight to win the Premier League or Champions League.

“You’ve got to say, like, ‘Maybe we’ve not got the potential, but we’re going to try.’ You have to try!”

Ten Hag has been frequently criticised by the United support in recent years, but with Ronaldo speaking out, the pressure is continuing to grow.

Fans had already begun calling for the manager’s head after the 3-0 defeat against Liverpool at Old Trafford, and Ronaldo’s quotes have reignited their anger.

The boss was handed a new contract in the summer after winning the FA Cup and defeating Manchester City in the final, but little seems to have changed.
