'Mohamed Salah to sign three-year deal' - Liverpool fans react to bombshell

Liverpool fans have urged the club to cave in to Mohamed Salah’s demands and agree a three-year deal after his bombshell update in the aftermath of the 2-0 Premier League win over Man City on Sunday (December 1).

The 32-year-old starred for Arne Slot’s side once again, assisting Cody Gakpo for the opener and securing all three points with a 78th-minute penalty.

Even by his high standards, Salah is in the form of his life under Slot, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in 13 Premier League games, leaving him top of the goal contribution charts.

Football Insider revealed (November 28) that Salah wants a three-year deal to remain at Anfield, which would keep him at the club until he’s 36.

Still, the Egypt international remains one of three key players, alongside Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who are out of contract at the end of the season.

Due to his contract situation, the winger could negotiate a pre-agreement deal for a summer transfer with foreign clubs from January 1st.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Salah cast further doubt on his Anfield future, saying: “Honestly it’s in my head. Until now this is the last City game I will play for Liverpool (at Anfield) so I was just going to enjoy it.

“The atmosphere was incredible so I will enjoy every second here. Hopefully we just win the league and will see what will happen.”

Losing Salah could prove disastrous for Liverpool, especially considering he’s been involved in 69 per cent of their Premier League goals so far this season.

Determined to keep hold of their most influential player, fans have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to urge the club to give Salah what he wants.
