Mohamed Salah’s agent is the driving force behind continuous speculation about his possible exit from Liverpool in 2025.
This is according to former Man United chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Salah’s agent is trying to find the best possible deal for his client.
The 32-year-old is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the season and will be able to discuss a pre-contract agreement from January onwards.
His contract is currently worth more than £350,000 per week, but he could leave on a free transfer next May, leading to plenty of talk over his future.
This comes amid intensifying speculation linking him with a move to Saudi Arabia, where he would be offered mega money to become the face of the league.
As a result, little movement has taken place in talks over a new contract, but Brown has insisted a decision may not be made for a while yet.
Salah’s agent is set to weigh up the potential offers and see how far Liverpool are willing to go to keep him at the club in an attempt to land the best possible deal.
As speculation continues to grow, it has been said that the club “will do everything in their power” to keep their best players at the club – something the agents are aware of.

Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has insisted that the situation could drag on until the end of the season before a decision is made.
“His situation is a very difficult one,” he told Football Insider.
“I firmly believe that this is a pressure job from the agents to try and get the best deal possible for their players, whether that’s here or elsewhere.
“One thing I can understand would be the appeal of moving to a Muslim country. That could play a part.
“But I’ve always thought it’s mostly about putting pressure on Liverpool.
“The agents know Liverpool want to keep him and at least want to be seen doing everything they can to keep him at the club.
“Liverpool will do everything in their power to keep their best players at the club.
“For the agent, they can afford to wait and see what offers they get and how far these clubs are willing to go for him to sign.
“So I wouldn’t expect them to make a decision any time soon, it could go right until the end of the season just to see what offers they get before they decide.”
