West Ham United have been busy on the transfer front this summer, with three signings over the line and more on the cards.
The Hammers hit the ground running in the window by signing Luis Guilherme, before Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman subsequently joined too.
Now, West Ham are reportedly closing in on a fourth summer signing, and a fifth one may not be that far away either.
Fabrizio Romano has taken to X this evening with an update on the Hammers’ pursuit of the ‘incredible’ striker.

New round of talks for West Ham and Borussia Dortmund over Niclas Fullkrug
The player in question is Niclas Fullkrug, who enjoyed a superb season for Borussia Dortmund last time out and also featured for Germany at Euro 2024.
According to Romano, West Ham and Dortmund have scheduled a new round of talks to try and advance on the Fullkrug deal.
The 31-year-old is keen to join the Hammers, who in turn are eager to advance towards a deal after their breakthrough for Crysencio Summerville.
Meanwhile, the Jhon Duran deal is on standby as there’s no agreement, added Romano.
What could West Ham expect from Niclas Fullkrug?
West Ham are in need of reinforcements up front to lessen the goal-scoring burden on Michail Antonio.
Although talks over Duran appear to have stalled, the Hammers seem to be making decent progress over Fullkrug.
The 31-year-old is a talented and experienced forward who the Bundesliga website has compared to Mario Gomez.
“Niclas is a playmaking attacker,” the website quotes BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl as saying.
“Very strong with his head, physically impressive, convincing in one-on-one duels and unpleasant for his opponents [to face].
“With all these skills, he embodies the profile we were looking for.”
Meanwhile, former teammate Niclas Stark said: “Fulle can be important for the national team, just like he is for us.
“There are outstanding technical players [ahead of him], but if you want to play with a classic nine, I don’t think there’s anyone better.”
