Omar Marmoush to Liverpool whispers intensify after official message is posted

Liverpool target Omar Marmoush’s current club Frankfurt have added fuel to recent rumours of a potential transfer with their social media antics.

German outlet BILD reports that Arne Slot’s team re already negotiating a £50million deal for the 25-year-old, who has his heart set on a move to Anfield in the summer 2025 transfer window.

Marmoush has been on fire for Frankfurt so far this season, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists in 16 appearances across all competitions for the German club.

Many Liverpool fans believe they’ve found their Mohamed Salah replacement in Marmoush, with the Egyptian King’s contract due to expire at the end of the season.

Slot’s side certainly aren’t lacking for fire-power at the moment, with Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez making up their forward line.

Still, Liverpool are interested, and Frankfurt’s recent activity on X, formally known as Twitter, has done little to quell the rumours.

Marmoush and Salah are currently away on international duty with Egypt as they prepare to face Cape Verde and Botswana in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Attention will turn back to club football once this international break is over, with Liverpool due to take on strugglers Southampton.
