'Pep Guardiola has ruined Jack Grealish' as Henry re-analyses Man City footage

Man City supporters believe that Pep Guardiola has “ruined” Jack Grealish after Thierry Henry re-analysed a clip from the Manchester derby on Sunday (15 December).

Henry appeared on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football and reflected on the England international opting to take the ball backward, despite picking it up in an attacking position out wide.

Henry said, “I was at home and I screamed because that’s not the Jack Grealish I saw at Villa, that’s not the Jack Grealish I saw arriving at Man City.

“Regardless of the time, regardless of what it is, regardless of where you are, when the ball comes to you here and I see Bruno Fernandes coming and maybe Gundogan making a run, all I’m trying to do at that moment is you take the ball and you square him.”

Football Insider revealed that City are uncertain about Grealish’s future amid concerns about his recent performances, and the defending Premier League champions could consider selling him next summer.

The 29-year-old has struggled to make an impact for Guardiola’s team this season and has only started five league games this term.

Grealish has gone a full year without scoring a goal for City, with his last one taking place in December 2023 as has failed to make an attacking impact with his performances when it comes to goal contributions.

Grealish is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2027, but fans have claimed that he is “killing his career” by remaining at the football club.
