‘Quality’: Thierry Henry left really impressed by £50m forward who Arsenal wanted to sign earlier this summer
What a signing this would have been! ????
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has just suggested that Arsenal have missed out one serious talent this summer.
Mikel Arteta is still awaiting the signing of Riccardo Calafiori with the Italy international now on the verge of putting pen to paper.
It has been a frustrating start to the summer window at Arsenal with the Gunners – technically – yet to do any real business besides youngster Charlie Setford.
However, focus is also on pre-season preparations following the conclusion of the two major competitions this summer.
But there is still another international tournament going on in the background with this summer’s Olympics now underway.
And manager of the France side, Thierry Henry, says there is one player who Arsenal wanted to sign this summer who has really impressed him.

Arsenal missed out on player who’s impressed Thierry Henry
Henry is currently managing the France side competing in the Paris Olympics and they have gotten off to a winning start.
The former Arsenal striker saw his side win comfortably against the USA with Alexandre Lacazette leading the line for the host nation.
When playing for Arsenal, perhaps the biggest compliment you could possibly get would come from the legend, Henry.

Speaking after the game in Paris, Henry waxed lyrical about the new Bayern Munich signing Michael Olise.
“He has the quality to change a game. In the game he presses a lot, works hard and helps the team,” Henry told BILD.
“He asks a lot of questions and is not someone who just wants the ball. He has very good qualities, but also still has a long way to go”
Arsenal wanted to sign Michael Olise
Arsenal were one of the sides who had shown an interest in signing Olise this summer before he made the move to Bayern.
The Bundesliga giants signed the Frenchman for a fee in the region of £50m from Crystal Palace who had interest from a number of clubs.
But the Gunners continue their search for attacking reinforcements this summer with the likes of Nico Williams said to be of interest to Arsenal.
However, the north London side are operating in a busy market with this calibre of player wanted across Europe.
