Rangers fans have urged the club to reconsider selling James Tavernier in this summer transfer window.

Having been at the club since 2015, many fans want to see the club legend reman at Ibrox Stadium moving forward.

Football Insider revealed Rangers have received an offer from Al-Ettifaq, which could see the 32-year-old reunite with Steven Gerrard.

But it was also reported that the Scottish giants recently rejected a proposal from Trabzsonspor, although the Turkish club are expected to negotiate improved terms.

Tavernier has been a loyal servant to Rangers throughout his time, and has scored 125 goals and contributed 129 assists during his years at Ibrox.

But with the Gers needing to make sales to provide Philippe Clement with cash to spend this summer, Tavernier could be a good option.

Rangers fans are set to miss James Tavernier

Tavernier has been a key feature in the Rangers squad throughout his time at the club, including last season as he remained a regular.

That’s why many fans are passionate about not wanting him to leave the club, with some feeling it would be a mistake to do so.

You can be appreciative of James Tavernier’s contributions in a Rangers shirt and also feel it is the right time for him to move on.

He was capable of big moments for the club and provided many, was also part of some bad days for the club.

Even fans who believe a sale for the right-back is the correct move are feeling emotional about the situation, admitting they’ll be sad.
