Rangers star now 'Chosen One' for Euro club with deal difficult to do - report

Rangers defender Connor Goldson is the “chosen one” for Aris as they aim to seal a summer transfer, according to Super Sport.

The Cypriot news outlet reported on 22 July that despite their preference, it will be difficult for them to secure the services of the English centre-back.

The 31-year-old’s still got two years left on his deal at Ibrox but appears to be on the cusp of an exit this summer.

Goldson’s potential move to Aris, as revealed by This is Mappa, seems to be a matter of timing and negotiation.

The Cypriot club are keen on the 31-year-old defender, viewing him as a key addition to their squad.

However, the challenge lies in the financial and contractual aspects of the deal, given Goldson’s existing contract with Rangers that runs until 2026.

Despite the hurdles, Goldson’s departure from Ibrox appears imminent.
