Raphael Onyedika’s stellar form drives 11 billion naira market value surge

Super Eagles star Raphael Onyedika continues to shine for Club Brugge, with his recent performances on the pitch earning him a significant market value increase, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigeria international has seen his value in the market surge by 6 million euros (₦11,078,979,669 approx.), which brings his total worth to 16 million euros.

This increase has also made him the second most valuable player in the Belgian Pro League after Danish forward Andreas Skov Olsen who worths € 18 milion.

Onyedika’s rise comes off the back of a string of impressive performances, including being named Club Brugge’s Player of the Month for September despite his Red card saga against Charleroi.

His contribution was evident once again in yesterday’s clash against Sturm Graz, where he provided the crucial assist for the club’s only goal, securing a hard-fought victory.

Pundits have lauded Onyedika’s growth under new manager Nicky Hayen. While former coach Ronny Deila didn’t fully tap into the Nigerian’s potential, Hayen has given him the space to develop into a commanding figure in the midfield.

“Where Ronny Deila saw less in him [Raphael Onyedika], Nicky Hayen has given Onyedika the space to fully develop as a strong player in the Bruges whole. The fact that Blauw-Zwart even turned down a bid of 20 million euros from Galatasaray also shows that they still see room for further development.” Says Transfer Markt’s Bart Tamsyn.

Club Brugge’s faith in Onyedika is evident. The club recently turned down a 20 million euro bid from Turkish giants Galatasaray, signaling their belief that the young midfielder has much more to offer.

With the market value of the Nigerian footballer now skyrocketing and his influence growing with each game, Onyedika’s future at Brugge looks even brighter.
