Report: 'Impressive' player who left Arsenal this week has just visited Brighton's training ground

According to a recent report, a player who left Arsenal this week is in talks to join Brighton and Hove Albion.

Arsenal, like all clubs, will have to trade this summer transfer window to comply with Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Jakub Kiwior is a player rumoured with the exit door as is Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey.

Though, there have already been departures and one player who left the club this week looks like he could be joining Brighton.

Amario Cozier-Durberry visited Brighton training ground

According to TheSecretScout, Amario Cozier-Durberry, who left Arsenal this week upon the expiry of his contract, visited Brighton’s training ground on the weekend.

The left-footed winger netted 18 times whilst laying on 10 assists across 48 appearances for Arsenal’s under-21s.

It was Cozier-Duberry’s decision to leave the club as he wants to play first-team football and is now considering a number of offers.

The teenager has also received approaches from the Netherlands, France, Germany and Belgium, so competition for his signature is rife.

As per The Standard, Arsenal had planned to extend his deal last summer and send him out on a loan deal in January but evidently, that plan didn’t align with his vision.

Arsenal could rue their decision

Clearly, as evinced by the amount of interest that has gathered, Cozier-Duberry is a very talented player with a lefty ceiling.

So with that said, have Arsenal made an error in not allowing him the platform to perform for Mikel Arteta’s first-team?

In fairness, he’d have been competing with Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli on both flanks, so it wasn’t a straightforward decision.

With that said, only time will tell if Arsenal are left to rue their decision.
